Comme quoi l'actrice, fan de la série à la base, avait été hyper déprimée que son personnage ne soit pas apprécié par la fanbase...

Actors and actresses, through no fault of their own, can end up in roles that are poorly received for various reasons. “In this particular field you have to develop a strong backbone and that was pretty early on and I hadn’t really developed that,” says Sarah when I ask her about Angel. “I’d worked a lot but I hadn’t worked on something with that kind of fanbase where it was fans that were so passionate. It was really hard and I would go online and I would read things and it really hurt my feelings and I became super-insecure about that work.”

“And then, I was like, I can’t keep reading this stuff. I can’t. It’s too painful; it’s too upsetting. And then I moved onto other things and other roles where the characters were better received. But it’s hard, you really take it personally. I’m pretty sensitive so… maybe if it happened now... I try not to read anything anymore – even on Raajneeti, I really didn’t read much. Or I’ll have my husband read stuff and he’ll just report back pieces. It’s tough. And I think on Angel it was especially tough because the fans were so passionate but if they don’t like you, they really don’t like you. They want you off. It’s not just, ‘Well, I don’t really like her.’ It’s like, ‘I HATE HER!’”

“But on the flip side I did a lot of conventions for Angel and met a lot of people that were really positive and were really supportive and encouraging. So I had that experience also but I try to just push it out of my mind because otherwise I’d just be depressed.”

Je comprends parfaitement tout ce qu'elle dit. C'est vrai que c'est dur. Perso, j'ai beau détester Warren, j'vais pas aller faire chier Adam tsé^^ Pareil pour Kennedy, Amy...j'les aime pas mais j'en fais pas un fromage. J'vois pas l'intérêt de blesser l'acteur ou d'être cruel sur le net. La pauvre, ça a pas du être facile, déjà qu'elle intégrait une série à sa cinquième saison...
